Speaking Scripture: How to Memorize and Recite with Purpose and Delight
By God’s grace, I’ve written a book filled with the wisdom gathered from twelve years or so of memorizing and reciting Scripture and encouraging others to do the same. Just like the title of the book shows, I’m passionate to encourage others not only to memorize for their personal walks with Christ but also to share their memorized Scriptures to minister to others. Throughout all the years of leading other adults to memorize and recite, I kept coming across the same things that made people hesitant to try memorizing or reciting before an audience. I also came across the same needs that people had for specific, practical instruction that would help them memorize effectively and recite more powerfully. That is where this book has come from, to address these repeated questions with intensely practical and proven advice. The Lord has been so good to help me see it through to publication and He gets all the glory!
The book is available on Amazon in physical and eBook form.

Reviews:
“I just returned home from Montana. I had several flights to read your book. It is outstanding! I loved reading it—every page. You explained everything so clearly, and most of all your heart came through. I could sense your desire to include anyone interested but you didn’t put people under the pile. It was such a good balance.” –Janet Pope, author of “His Word in My Heart: Memorizing Scripture for a Closer Walk with God.“
“I recently read Rachel’s newest book, Speaking Scripture: How to Memorize and Recite with Purpose and Delight. I have read numerous books on the topic of Scripture, but I found this one especially helpful. It is an excellent resource for the veteran memorizer who wants to sharpen their skills as well as those wishing to start their journey in Bible memory. A standout in her book is the emphasis on the public recitation of Scripture as the capstone or mark of completion for the memorizer. I highly recommend this work to any interested in the subject.” –Randy Williamson, Program Administrator at Scripture Memory Fellowship.
“Rachel offers an inspiring perspective on Scripture memory that will inspire anybody who has a passion to memorize more of God’s Word. Whether you’re just starting out or you’ve been memoizing for years, learning to incorporate speaking Scripture into your memory process is an invaluable tool.” –Josh Summers, ministry leader of Bible Memory Goal.
“I just did not realize that this is really an easy thing to accomplish. Just reading it a couple times a day is actually cementing it into my brain. I had never tried this technique before. It actually works. Now I’m excited to know I can memorize scripture without have to go line by line over and over. What a blessing. I HIGHLY recommend this book. It’s easy to read and understand. ❤” –Diana Burnham
